The Secretlab Titan Evo Series 2022 is for you if you spend a lot of time sitting, playing games or working.
It’s typically the kind of chair that will suit you perfectly if you tend to sit for 5-10 hours (and more) every day.
So it’s a very high-end model that’s been designed for the most demanding gamers.
So unless you want a luxury item just for the fun of it…
If you don’t spend a lot of time sitting down, you’re better off with cheaper entry-level models.
When it comes to body shape, you’ll have to choose the right one:
It’s the only chair I know of that allows variations between sizes.
It’s great because you’ll have a chair that fits you perfectly, with a seat and backrest adapted to your morphology.
Last but not least, all dimensions are revised to fit you almost “made-to-measure”.

The seat and backrest are made from a special, patent-pending cold foam.
What’s in it for you?
It’s going to be durable.
In other words, it holds up well over time and is designed not to sag with use.
There’s no risk of your armchair ending up like Homer Simpson’s sofa (and believe me, some really do).
So you’ll have a durable chair that you can keep for years.
It’s going to give you a moderately firm seat.
Just the right amount to make you feel like you’re sitting on a cloud, while protecting you from back pain (firmness is great for that).
It’s also designed to distribute your weight evenly across the chair.
This will increase your seating comfort and relieve your body of tension…
Allowing you to sit and play longer without pain!
I found it really incredible, in that on a normal chair, I “feel” that I’m sitting, and my body tends to sink more to one side than the other.
Here, I really have the sensation of almost not being seated, and of being perfectly “straight” and held everywhere in the same way on the chair.
It’s a really pleasant sensation that you’ll feel straight away, and one that’s hard to describe.
Side cheeks are my favorite thing about gaming chairs.
They give you a bit more support and allow you to follow the curves of your body…
Provided it’s done right!
On the Titan Evo 2022…
They’re wide open on the outside, making them easy to adapt to all types of profiles, while still providing good support.
The same goes for the waist straps on the backrest, which are sufficiently extended forward to hold you in place.
As for the seat, it’s exclusive to Secretlab: it’s a pebble-shaped seat!
I feel much better seated, and I find that thanks to this I’m less likely to slide forward in my seat and find myself sitting/lying down at the same time.
I stay well positioned!
I asked myself why, and it turns out that the pebble-shaped seat adopts a slight curvature that will guide you towards the middle of the seat to adopt a perfect sitting position.
On top of that, the side cheeks on the seat are spaced far enough apart to give you greater freedom of movement.
The combination of the two makes for a very comfortable, spacious seating position (you could even sit crouched on it!).
This is a key asset if you want to spend time in your chair without destroying your back!
The tilting mechanism on the Secretlab means that the seat and backrest follow your movements.
This is a plus, because on some chairs it’s poorly realized, or sometimes only the back moves, and not the seat.
Here, as you can see from the photo, the mechanism is well designed and allows a wide range of movement!
This reduces tension points in the same places, enabling you to sit longer without destroying your back.
If you don’t like it…
Don’t worry, you can block the rocker with the left lever, although I wouldn’t recommend it.
The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 Series gas spring is Class 4.
The ultimate in strength and spring force.
Which is a guarantee of reliability that it won’t break, and will go up and down smoothly.
But where Secretlab really makes the difference is that they’ve completely redesigned it!
It’s shorter than the usual ones, so you can finally get your feet touching the ground (and properly).
This is very important for good posture, to avoid sore legs and poor circulation.
It’s the key to ergonomic sitting.
Take a look at the photo – it’s so small, it’s a real success!
The frame (i.e. the skeleton of the chair) is made of metal, which, as you know, is a very solid material and therefore top for durability!
But where the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 surpasses other gaming chairs in this respect is that the foot cross is made of ADC12 aluminum!
A much stronger material than plastic (easily 95% of all gaming chairs) and much prettier!
It’s one more point to qualify the Secretlab as very durable, a real investment.
It’s really nice to know that they only use the finest materials to make their chairs.
But that’s not all!
It’s been adjusted for improved stability.
And I agree, on some chairs when you tilt the back, they tend not to be very stable. Here you won’t have that problem.
Even when tilted to the maximum and moving backwards and forwards on purpose, it didn’t move a bit!
The armrests of the Secretlab Titan Evo Series 2022 are adjustable in 4D dimensions.
Perfect for maximum ergonomic positioning.
You can adjust them from top to bottom.
This allows you to adjust them to the height of your desk and relieve the pressure on your shoulders.
You can also adjust their width (not everyone has the same shoulder width) to suit your shoulder width.
And if that’s not enough, under the seat you can also bring them even closer together by slightly unscrewing the 3 screws, bringing the armrests together, and screwing them back in!
This is what I did to adapt it to my shoulders, and the change is very noticeable – no need to spread your elbows to touch the armrests!
You can also adjust the angle.
Which is great for putting them at the right angle to your arms (imagine when you’re typing, your arms aren’t all straight, but angled inwards a little).
That’s a real plus, because you’re supported even when you’re typing or playing on the keyboard!
You’ll also be able to adjust them back and forth.
I find this very useful if you want to get closer to your desk, but the armrests get stuck, then you won’t have this problem, because all you have to do is move them backwards!
And on top of all that, they’re covered in foam made from super-comfortable polyurethane leather, so they won’t kill your elbows in the long run!
And where Secretlab stand out even more from the competition is that they’ve developed a technology called “Cloudswap”.
This means that the armrest covers are magnetized, and can be changed super-easily, in a matter of seconds.
It’s the only chair on the market to offer this.
You’re really buying a chair that will allow you to replace parts, a real investment, not a “throw-away” one.
What’s more, there’s the option of buying Technogel armrests that you can change thanks to CloudSwap technology, which will give you even greater comfort.
They offer improved weight distribution, better thermoregulation (no more sweating) and are infused with the same gel used in hospitals!
You can choose this option in the chair options when ordering.
The design of the Secretlab Titan Evo Série 2022 has been well thought out.
It’s available in a wide range of colors, and you’re bound to find one you like.
There’s grey, black, blue (in many different shades) and even pink!
And to top it all off, there are tons of special editions, including League Of Legends, World of Warcraft, certain e-sport teams and more.
As you can see, you’ll easily be able to choose a design that FITS you and your set-up (and even better if it’s themed).
To give you a figure, there are 135 different variations.
I personally chose the “Cookies & Cream” shade, which is really deep, well-worked, and I think gorgeous.
As for the rest, it’s a gaming chair in the shape of a bucket seat (the same as in sports cars) with lots of details that testify to the seriousness of the brand.
What I’m about to tell you will depend on the model you choose (as there are many special editions, even Batman) on mine…
The logo at the top of the backrest and on the cushion are perfectly embroidered, and you’ll find it embroidered on the back of the backrest too!
On the left-hand side of the backrest, you’ll also find the size (regular for me) and the model year (2022)!
Finally, the design is all the prettier for not being spoiled by the holes that hold the cushions in place!
This is all thanks to the magnetic headrest, and the lumbar support integrated directly into the chair (I’ll tell you more about it in the review!).
Finally, I must inform you that Secretlab have launched a range of “Skins”…
What are they?
Chair covers that let you change the style of your chair, without EVER having to buy a new chair.
For example, you’ve bought the LoL version and you want the Batman version?
No problem, just buy a skin, and you’ll be able to change your chair in no time.
What’s more, they’re perfectly suited to Secretlab, so there’s NO game involved.
The chair I chose has a textile covering called Secretlab Softweave Plus, but…
There are others, like Secretlab Neo Hybrid Leatherette and Nappa leather.
How to choose?
If you want a chair in original colors and atypical designs, and you tend to sweat on your chair/get hot…
And you like a “textured” feel, choose a chair in Secretlab SoftWeave Plus.
It’s 3.5 times more resistant than the previous version.
It’s also been tested and manufactured to resist stress and always return to its original shape.
It’s also a much nicer material to have if you have pets (unlike leatherette, which can quickly end badly with a scratch).
If you want a chair with a more premium look, love the “Nappa leather feel” and don’t tend to sweat…
Get one in SecretLab Neo Hybrid Leatherette.
It’s 12 times more durable than “normal” PU leather, designed to be as tough as animal skin.
It has undergone many different reviews, each time coming out unscathed.
Both have international certificates for strength and durability.
If you really want a luxurious material, go for Nappa leather, which comes from horses and is ultra-soft, very resistant and very beautiful.
It’s also very durable, and is the material used for sports car interiors.
On a more practical note:
Fabric is good because it doesn’t need you to take care of it, but…
If you often eat on the computer, leatherette is better, because if you spill something, it’s easy to clean up, and if you get a stain, it’s easy to clean up.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Most of the time, you can clean your chair with a cloth, but…
I recommend, if you can (but it’s entirely optional), using the products designed by SecretLab.
Frankly, they’re not expensive, and once you’ve invested in a chair like this, you might as well look after it as much as possible.
For leatherette, there are two products, SecretLab Premium Leather Cleaner.
Simply spray a little on a microfiber cloth and wipe clean.
And you can also maintain it daily with SecretLab Leather Wipes.
On the fabric side, there’s Secretlab Premium Fabric Cleaner.
Which can be used to remove stains that have a hard time coming out.
And for fast, regular care, there’s Secretlab SoftWeave Fabric Wipes.
For Nappa, use a leather moisturizer regularly.
But keep in mind that all these products are optional. That’s really if you want to go all out.
More Secretlab Titan Evo innovations!
The headrest (which respects the natural curvature of your neck and makes sitting even more comfortable) is magnetized (patent pending)!
For those who might be puzzled: it holds very well and can easily be moved, even if you put it at the very top of the backrest, that’s saying something!
So you can easily adjust it to the height that suits you best.
It’s even been infused with cooling gel to keep it thermoregulated and sweat-free in summer!
Where Secretlab has outdone itself is in lumbar support.
To tell you more, their patent-pending lumbar support system is called L-Adapt.
It’s really top-notch, because it eliminates the need for a cushion, which is sometimes impossible to place correctly because the chair doesn’t allow it and is often too big.
What’s more, it won’t move a muscle, and you can rest your back against the backrest without having a gap or being too far off the chair.
Here you can adjust the volume and positioning of the lumbar support, which is integrated directly into the seat (thanks to a castor).
The result is clearly superior seating comfort, because in addition to respecting the natural curvature of your back, you’ll be able to adapt it entirely to you!
I’d already heard of the brand when their flagship product was the omega, but this is incredible what they’ve managed to do.
The finishes are anything but cheap compared to most gaming chairs, and here again, they’re even magnetic! (I’m talking about the armrest covers).
I’ve taken a photo of the backrest, because that’s usually where there are the most flaws.
And as you can see, it’s impeccable, no fluttering of material, and the seams (both back and front) are flawless, regular and solid.
As you can see on the bottom right, there’s an NFC certificate, which you can scan to verify the chair’s authenticity!
A true luxury item.
The wheels are XL polyurethane.
They run smoothly, especially on tiled floors, and don’t stick to the ground.
On linoleum, however, they are a little less fluid.
Finally, each wheel is fitted with polyurethane-coated treads to avoid damaging your floors.
The backrest can recline up to 165°, providing excellent support for your back, head and shoulders.
It will recline even further than shown in the photo if you’re sitting on it, as the tilting mechanism allows you to recline it even further.
I’d also like to point out that even in these positions (great for watching a film, series or stream) the chair remains ultra-stable.
In case you have children who might use the chair or get behind it…
There’s even a little locking system you can screw in to prevent the lever from being used to tilt the backrest (1 minute to set, no more).
It’s a nice little protection bonus that I’m discovering for the first time.
The only drawback of this gaming chair compared to others is that some of them go as far as 180°.
It’s not much of a change, but I just had to point it out!
On the right, under the seat, the lever is used to raise and lower the chair.
On the left, under the seat, it locks/unlocks the rocker.
Under the seat, you’ll see a large wheel: it’s used to adjust the tension of the rocker according to your weight.
On the right-hand side of the seat, you’ll find a lever for adjusting the backrest tilt, which you can lock at any time.
To the left of the backrest is a wheel that lets you adjust the height of the lumbar support by turning clockwise.
It can be set higher or lower.
A similar wheel on the right-hand side of the backrest lets you adjust the curvature of the lumbar support.
Turn the wheel clockwise to increase the curvature of the lumbar support and counter-clockwise to reduce it.
You can also adjust the armrests from top to bottom, by pressing on the piece of metal that protrudes from the outside of each one.
And angle them by pressing the small metal button at the end of each armrest, then pressing the button on the inside of each armrest, to adjust the width.
All within easy reach and without having to get out of the chair!
In 15 minutes, the chair will be fully assembled, especially as virtually all the screws are already pre-screwed.
What’s more, to assemble the backrest, on the right-hand side of the seat there’s an insert into which the right-hand side of the backrest fits, and all you have to do is insert the screws.
Which is super rare, because it’s normally the hardest part to assemble, and this was really easy!
So even on your own, you’ll be able to assemble it very easily.
The left-hand side moves freely, so once the right-hand side has been screwed on, the left-hand side screws on and fits together very easily.
To help you out, there’s even a video showing how to assemble it, which is shown when you scan the QR CODE on the assembly guide supplied with the chair (top left in my photo).
Delivery was very quick, and the package weighed just over 30kg.
The packaging was top-notch and super-strong.
I even learned that to test the resistance of the packages, they carried out several laboratory reviews.
For example, they dropped it several times from different angles from a height of around 1m50.
Proving just how sturdy it is, and that you can keep delivery problems to a minimum.
Nevertheless, if you have even the slightest problem, get in touch with them as soon as possible – they’re very responsive and the after-sales service is top-notch!
There are even cuffs to help get the chair parts out of the parcel, and the tools needed to assemble it come with it…
And in boxes of their own!
For this gaming chair, you’ll see for yourself that customer reviews are all very good!
At the same time, it has to be said that its reputation is well-deserved Secretlab is at the heart of innovation.
It’s great to see a brand that’s getting things moving in the world of gaming chairs!
Here are just a few examples:
As you’ve just seen, it’s a gaming chair that’s unanimously acclaimed, and once you’ve seen it, all you want to do is get it!
And I totally understand, there’s no point in looking any further once you’ve found Secretlab.
The Klim Esports has 4D armrests, high-resilience foam and a backrest that swivels up to 160°.
But it’s no match for the Secretlab Titan Evo.
No L-adapt, no magnetized cushion, no different versions for different body shapes, and so on.
Especially as the price is pretty much the same.
