The Minecraft gaming chair from Secretlab is the most advanced in terms of functionality and ergonomics.

What I love about Secretlab is that they’ve really pulled out all the stops to be the best.
They use the best materials, the most beautiful designs (thanks to their collabs) and on top of that they’re the only ones with certain exclusive settings.
Nevertheless, the brand isn’t young and was launched in 2014 by two semi-pro gamers (on starcraft) and since then it’s been a meteoric rise!
They had just one goal: to create the best gaming chair in existence.
But that’s far from being all, they’ve also registered several patents and this chair is incredible (I’ll let you find out why following this review).

First of all, guys, don’t buy it if you’re the kind of person who turns on your game for 30 minutes or even 1 hour, then stops because you’ve had enough.
In that case, go for a gaming chair costing less than 100 euros.
Why would you spend that kind of money if you play so little?
This chair has all the ergonomic settings and features to keep you sitting comfortably for 8-10 hours with ease.
So buy it knowingly (or maybe you just really like the Minecraft design).
In terms of sizes, one of Secretlab’s great advantages is that they have several (but you’ll have to choose the one that suits you):
It’s rare to find chairs that allow so many variations, so take advantage!
All chair sizes and dimensions have been reviewed and adapted to a typical profile.
So no more knees jamming up against the seat and no more sitting down when you’re small.

Cool foam is excellent foam, because it means it’s particularly breathable and you won’t have to sweat excessively because of the foam.
That said, the really good thing is that it’s high-density foam.
High-density foam (greater than 29kg/m3) means that the foam returns to its original shape very quickly.
Even if you sit on it for hours on end.
So you can see why it’s important to have high-density foam on a chair that costs so much and will be used so often.
I really like the seat, which is moderately firm.
It’s perfect for the back and for comfort.
Because when it’s too soft, any physiotherapist will tell you, it’s not great, for example, for the back because there’s no support.
But where this foam surpasses the competition is that it has been specifically designed to distribute your weight evenly across the entire chair.
What’s in it for you?
Well, basically, there won’t be any particular point of tension on any specific part of your body.
As everything is perfectly distributed, you won’t feel pain in any particular place first.
Your whole body will be fatigued “uniformly”, so you won’t feel any particular pain in any specific area.
Which means you can… Sit longer and play longer in comfort!
The side cheeks (that’s what comes out of the sides of the chair) are great for support and for forcing you to stand correctly.
I think there’s a good chance that you’re a gamer like me, and that you take really weird positions to sit down…
It used to happen to me a lot, and well-made side cheeks really help to counter this phenomenon.
What’s more, they’re neither too pronounced nor too absent, so they easily fit most morphologies (especially as there are several chair sizes to choose from).
Now, let’s talk about the seat…
They’ve actually created a seat specific to their brand, which they call the “pebble seat”.
Basically, if you’ve always found yourself sliding forward in your chair during playtime…
Well, that’s not going to happen anymore, because the pebble seat is a particularly curved seat that will guide you towards the center of the seat.
So you can adopt the best position, without sliding forward and ending up with a rounded back.
The toggle mechanism is a feature that is all too often neglected.
I see a lot of reviews that don’t even mention it, even though it’s an essential element.
A good toggle does almost EVERYTHING.
And above all, an off-center rocker vs. a centered rocker is like night and day.
A centered rocker is made in the middle of the chair, so when you rock, your legs will be raised.
This will cut off your blood circulation, and quickly give you a feeling of “heavy legs”.
An off-center rocker, on the other hand, doesn’t do this and avoids all these problems!
And fortunately, the rocker on this minecraft gaming chair is off-center!
If you really don’t like it, you can block it, but I wouldn’t recommend doing so.
It’s important to have a minimum rocker to preserve your back (otherwise the same muscles will be working continuously).
Frankly, given the price, it’s a good thing it’s a class 4 gas cylinder!
But what does that mean in practical terms?
It means that it’s very strong, very durable and has great thrust.
Basically, it’ll have no trouble getting the chair up and down smoothly.
However, Secretlab has set itself apart from the competition by offering a completely redesigned actuator.
That’s right, their actuator is smaller than a normal actuator, so it will allow everyone to finally have their feet touching the ground!
And that’s perfect, even essential for ergonomics.
The whole chair is made of metal, which means that as well as being light and easy to move around, it’s very sturdy and will last you over time.
But then again, that’s pretty commonplace, almost all gaming chairs have that.
Where it really stands out is the aluminum base.
Aluminum is the best material for a base, you can’t beat it.
And why is that?
Well, because it can withstand pressures of up to 1 tonne, so go ahead and break such a base.
You’d have to really want to, or do it on purpose…
And what’s worse, the chair has also been adjusted for greater stability.
I quickly noticed that even when I tilted the backrest, nothing moved.
That’s a super-important adjustment, especially when you’re on a chair in this price range.
And why is it so important?
Because it allows you to adjust your armrests for maximum ergonomics.
Here are a few examples:
In short, the armrests are entirely adaptable to you and your posture.
Finally, another Secretlab feature is that their armrests are magnetic.
Basically, you can change the top of your armrests at will and in 30 seconds maximum.
If you’re interested, they even offer technogel-infused armrests (a substance used in hospitals for its thermoregulatory properties and added comfort) as an extra.
If you too want your little creeper to accompany you in all your games, you’ll love the design of this Minecraft chair!
If only to start with the color, one of the things I love about Secretlab is that their collabs are just right.
The colors are perfectly adapted and faithful to the original.
The logo (on the side of the backrest at the front and back of the chair) is also perfectly reproduced.
It’s just the right font in the right format.
And the creeper’s “face” is just right.
All the more so as I think having a creeper on a chair is really the best thing that could have been done.
What other element would you have seen?
Anyway, as you can see, I’m totally sold on the beauty of Secretlab’s designs.
What’s more, there’s not even a hole in the top of the backrest, as the headrest is magnetized.
I love this one too, because usually in their collabs they make chairs in imitation.
And here, for the Minecraft, they did a collab and put the chair in their special fabric.
And if you’ve read my previous reviews, you know how much I love fabric.
Fabric is already more breathable, so it’s ideal for summer and not sweating.
It’s also easier to maintain, as there’s virtually nothing to do.
Its only drawbacks are that you have to be careful if you eat on your chair, because it can quickly stain, and given the price of the chair, that’s sweaty.
However, where Secretlab have once again destroyed all the competition is in their special fabric.
In fact, it’s 3.5 times more resistant than the fabric used on Secretlab Omega, and far more resistant than normal fabric.
And if you like a “textured” feel, go for a chair in Secretlab SoftWeave Plus.
Last but not least, if you have pets, it’s still great, because your cat may scratch the fabric, but it doesn’t matter, it’s still fabric.
Whereas on imitation leather, it would have stuck…
What’s more, the fabric is certified (international certificate) for its strength and durability.
The magnetized headrest is, once again, something only available from Secretlab as we speak…
When I said that they really put EVERYTHING in place on their chairs…
But you’re probably wondering, why should I go for a magnetized headrest?
Well, it’s much more practical than a headrest with a rubber band around it.
With a rubber band, you’re going to have to readjust it 40 times a day, and it’s always going to move.
Put it down once (and thanks to the power of the magnet) and it’s good to go, unless you want to readjust it.
In short, I love it.
Then, another innovation, the lumbar support is integrated and adjustable in volume (other brands already do this, like NeedForSeat) but here…
They’ve taken it a step further by allowing height adjustment too.
And that’s impeccable, giving you all the lumbar support adjustments you need.
Even the 1000e ergo chairs don’t do that.
It’s particularly useful, because it respects the natural curvature of your lower back.
So you’ll never have to worry about lumbar pain again.
Have you ever seen a gaming chair with magnetized screw covers (on the side of the backrest)?
Well, I haven’t, but they have!
It really gives this chair a premium look, because usually it’s a cheap plastic cover that has to be screwed on…
Frankly, it’s really nice.
But that’s not all, they’ve taken the luxury branding one step further and put an NFC scan on the back of the backrest so you can scan it and check you’ve got a genuine one!
Next, the stitching, as you’d expect, is niquel…
Regular, clean, well-made, nothing to complain about.
To start with the size of the wheels, these are XL wheels.
So they’re very sturdy and resistant, and won’t have any trouble getting over a carpet.
However, even if they are fluid, I find that they don’t flow very well on a floor like linoleum (my bedroom floor).
So it remains to be seen what kind of floor you’re going to use it on, but frankly almost all the chairs I’ve reviewed struggle on linoleum.
This is pretty good, even if I did remove half a star.
The tilt goes up to 165°, which I think is more than enough for almost 90% of uses.
For watching a little live twitch (or kick hehe), 165° is perfect.
But I have to be impartial, because some chairs can be tilted up to 180°.
In this case, you can actually lie down on the chair and take a nap.
But are you really going to do it?
The adjustments are simple, but worth knowing:
As soon as you receive the chair, adjust everything to perfection for the best possible ergonomics.
You won’t need more than 20 minutes to assemble your Minecraft chair.
Everything has been done to make your life easier, with even some screws already pre-screwed and just needing to be put in correctly and screwed in.
And to top it all off, the guide is superbly explained and there’s even a QR code that links to an assembly video made by the brand.
And yes, all the tools are included, so you don’t need to prepare anything.
Well guys, you’ll have to forgive me, I’ve been a bit lazy looking through all the reviews for one showing a photo of a Minecraft chair.
