Looking for a comfortable gaming chair with a high degree of backrest inclination and adjustable armrests, all at an affordable price?
You’ve come to the right place! And I wonder how fast you’ll be buying this chair.
The advantage here is that you don’t pay for the brand (which is great for bargains).
In the course of this test, I’ll describe all the features you need to know about this chair, so you won’t need to know anything else!
Sommaire
You can buy it if you’re a gamer on a budget who wants to :
The ultimet is superb value for money.
You’ll be able to sit longer, without pain.
What are you going to do with the extra time you’ll be able to sit without back pain?
You’ve answered this question without hesitation? Good for you!
Don’t you know?
Then maybe you don’t need one, and I’d advise you to go for a budget gaming desk chair!
In terms of morphology, this gamer chair is suitable if you’re between 1m40-1m85, but above that it’ll be too small for you.
The maximum weight is not specified, but I’d recommend 115-125kg max.

The best thing about the Oversteel Ultimet is that it’s high-density and firm.
Firmness is great for fighting back pain (not me, but the doctors).
A high-density chair is excellent for durability…
That’s because it’ll always return to its original shape after use, so even months later you’ll still have a chair that’s as comfortable as the first day.
However, there’s one flaw that made me pull out the stars…
They didn’t specify the precise density, a little lack of transparency which in no way detracts from its quality, but which deserves to be clarified.
This is a strong point of all bucket seats:
They have side bolsters (the sides are raised and tucked in towards the inside of the seat).
This provides excellent support and prevents you from adopting positions that are not ergonomic and could therefore reduce your playing time.
Like most armchairs, the Oversteel Ultimet gaming chair is no exception: it also features a rocking-chair mechanism.
This takes the strain off your back by allowing it to move rather than remain fixed, enabling you to sit comfortably for longer.
You can, of course, block the seat, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
On this point, however, I’m a little more disappointed.
A class 4 gas cylinder would have been better, and it doesn’t cost a colossal amount.
In practical terms, this means that unlike a class 4 cylinder…
It’s going to have less spring force (power to go up/down) and a little less strength.
In itself, I’m quibbling a little – the actuator won’t break, but I’m used to seeing gaming chairs with a class 4 actuator!
The oversteel chair features what is, in my opinion, the strongest possible structure, because it’s made of metal.
The advantage of metal is that it’s sturdy and light, so it’s easy to move around and very durable.
The downside is that the cross legs are made of plastic, as on most gaming chairs at this price.
Now that’s SPLENDID! Few chairs at an affordable price like the Oversteel Ultimet allow you to adjust them as much as this.
The height adjustment lets you take the strain off your shoulders by adjusting their height…
At the same time, you’ll be able to adjust your armrests to suit the height of your desk!
By changing the angle, you can turn them in the same direction as your arms.
Nobody plays with straight arms – they’re always pushed inwards.
So you’ll feel much better, and your armrests will finally serve a purpose!
I’m really not disappointed with the design.
It’s exactly what I look for in this kind of product…
A magnificent bucket seat modeled like that of a sports car, and in bright colors like…
Blue, purple, but also in more sober colors like gray and black to fit easily into your bedroom or living room.
What’s more, you can see that they pay attention to branding.
Since the logo and brand are embroidered on the top and back of the backrest, but also on the two cushions!
It’s premium and I love it!
This gamer’s chair is made of imitation leather upholstery that’s been expertly crafted!
It’s soft, easy to clean (a little cloth and it’s gone, unlike fabric, which stains).
It’s tough and durable, not the kind of simili that cracks over the years.
Which makes it a long-lasting chair!
The neck cushion is included.
It sits behind your neck to reproduce the normal curve of your neck, giving you excellent support.
The lumbar cushion (also included) sits at the base of your back and is much more important than the neck cushion, because…
It’s so important to respect the curve of your back at lumbar level (by providing good support) that you’ll be able to sit for longer!
You can tell right away that the seams have been worked.
They’re color-matched, tight (but not too tight) and even!
As with most gaming chairs, the plastic finishes look really cheap.
The wheels will suit you 90% of the time, they roll well and don’t stick to the floor, and they don’t leave marks either.
However, I know that some people like to have roller-type wheels and here, given the price…
You can imagine that’s not possible (but you can change them).
It’s crazy because that’s the maximum orientation available on a chair…
And to have that at this price range is incredible.
With a tilt of up to 180Β°, you’ll be able to…
Play in peace, take breaks to watch Netflix series, and even take naps on the computer (or fall asleep in front of a series)!
Because yes, a tilt of up to 180Β° means you can even lie down!
In terms of accessibility, on the right-hand side you’ll find the lever for adjusting the backrest.
On the outside of each armrest, you can adjust the height.
And on the underside of the chair, you can adjust the sensitivity of the rocking chair mechanism.
This gaming chair is easy to assemble, as most parts are already pre-screwed, and the tools for assembly are included!
You can also rely on the excellent assembly instructions supplied with the chair.
In order to give you other opinions, I scoured the internet to see what others thought of it, and overall they thought this:
The seat is very firm, which means you can hold on for a long time without struggling in the chair because of back pain, and it’s very comfortable.
The imitation leather holds up very well over time and exudes quality.
I like the finish (unlike me).
The size should clearly be avoided if you’re over 90 cm, as you won’t be able to use the neck cushion.
The ease with which it can be assembled, since everything comes pre-assembled, is very appealing.
The drawbacks are that it tends to squeak, and the cushions are hard, but in short it’s a great deal for a top-of-the-range mid-range chair.
The IWMH Racing on this product: less reclining backrest (135Β°), high foam density too, 1D armrests, maximum supported load of 113kg.
I think you’ve guessed it, I don’t recommend it over the Oversteel.
Read the Intimate WM Heart review.
The Furgle, about this product: reclines a little less (160Β°), dense 60-70kg/m3 foam (excellent), steel frame, 150kg max load-bearing capacity, but only 1D adjustable armrest.
I’d only recommend it if you want to be sure you’re getting super-high-density foam, otherwise everything else isn’t as good.
Read the Furgle review.
The Songmics OBG62B, on this product no armrests are adjustable (but retractable) the backrest is not reclinable, the maximum weight is 150kg, the foam is also high density.
The only advantage of the OBG62B is that it’s less expensive, so if you’re on a budget, I wouldn’t recommend buying it.
