The nitro-concept S300 is ideal for gamers looking for top-of-the-range comfort and adjustments (3D armrests in particular) at a fair price!
The brand has also won several awards for the quality of its chairs!
This is definitely the brand to know if you want something of very good quality at an affordable price.
Let’s move on to testing the nitro-concepts S300!
You’ll see that there’s a lot to say about it.
Sommaire
It’s perfect for gamers looking for ergonomics and comfort in a durable, high-quality chair.
Buy it only if you spend a lot of hours on your console/computer, as it’s made for intensive use.
If you spend less than an hour a day, I’d recommend an inexpensive gamer chair.
You might also be interested in its competitor, the dxracer f08, which also features in my ranking of the best gaming seats.
But the big advantage here is that you don’t have to pay for the dxracer brand.
After all, I’m repeating myself here, but Nitro Concepts really does offer high-quality seats at FAIR prices.
Finally, you’ll need to be between 1m50-1m85 to get the most out of this chair, and no more than 135kg.

The first thing you don’t want on your chair is…
Foam that becomes completely flattened over time.
The nitro concepts s300 will save you from this problem, because it’s high-density.
The only drawback is that they didn’t specify the exact figures.
However, the term used means that it’s at least 28kg/m3.
And frankly, I think that’s a bit of a quibble, because in terms of comfort, it’s top-notch.
It’s neither too firm nor not firm enough, which is great for avoiding aches and pains.
The open pores allow it to breathe, increasing the durability of your chair and preventing you from sweating on it in summer!
Just imagine, all this combined with the fact that the upholstery is made of fabric…
You get a super-breathable chair.
Finally, the S300 is made with what they call the integrated H.E.A.T. (Health Enhancing Adjustment Technology) system.
It’s a special chair design that should drastically reduce backache and pain.
I have to say that it’s true that I feel comfortable sitting in the s300, and above all “snug”.
It’s as if the two cushions and the chair were made for my body (once properly adjusted).
As soon as I saw the nitro concepts s300, I was surprised by the chair’s “shield” appearance.
The backrest and seat are raised so you can feel EXTREMELY supported.
Why is this good?
Everyone went to school and sat on the classroom chair.
I imagine that, like me, after 30 minutes you ended up not straight at all and had slipped a little forward and a little sideways, sometimes without even noticing?
This super support will help you avoid this, and your back will thank you at the end of the day!
It’s really something I love, and the side cheeks are very present on both the backrest and the seat.
It’s also super important to have a tilt mechanism on your gaming chair.
This is what allows the chair to follow your movements when you bend over.
This takes the strain off your back, because holding still all the time and in the same position would end up…
tiring out your back and causing you pain!
The fact that it has a tilting mechanism of up to 14° is a particularly good point, because…
You’ll be able to make wide-ranging movements, so you won’t feel “blocked” by the mechanism.
All too often, I see people blocking the tilt mechanism to keep their chair fixed 100% of the time.
I’d advise you not to do this, as it’s very bad for your back.
Another good point for nitro concepts (definitely…) the gas-operated actuator is class 4.
This is the maximum in terms of both the safety of the mechanism and the spring force required to raise/lower the seat.
So there’s no risk of your chair jerking up or down, as you might see on lower-end chairs.
In practice, I don’t think you care, so I won’t go into too much detail, but it’s a good thing for durability and efficiency!
The chair’s frame is made of steel, which you already know…
Makes it super-strong.
What’s more, it’s a sure thing (German) and has been specially treated to prevent squeaking.
Imagine the pleasure of having a chair that doesn’t squeak!
It avoids being bothered by a super annoying noise when you move (and also when you speak into the microphone).
The nylon cross leg is more basic.
It’s solid and won’t break, but we could have done better and prettier with aluminum, or even some high-end office chairs use metal.
In this respect, it comes close to perfection (perfect would have been 4D).
However, this is understandable for the price.
What can 3D armrests do for you?
And why “A little 4D too”?
The screws under the seat allow you to adjust their spacing a little, which is great for modifying it to suit your shoulder width.
Frankly, with these settings, it easily beats dxracer and arozzi combined, but the noblechairs epic series still holds its own against the s300 (except in terms of price).
Finally, compared to the Nitro concepts x1000, it unfortunately has no knobs for adjusting the armrests front to back and at an angle.
This means that if you’re a bit brusque, you could unintentionally knock them out of alignment (but you’d have to use a lot of force).
These days, as gamers…
We like to match the color of our chair to that of our setup to get a great look.
For example, by choosing a chair in the same color as the keyboard and mouse backlighting.
And sometimes even that of the computer’s fans (for the lucky ones)!
With the nitro concepts S300, available in over 10 colors including black and a magnificent red model, this wish can easily be fulfilled!
My favorite color being blue, the one pictured here is the Nitro Concepts S300 model in “galactic blue”.
And to top it all off…
It has a superb bucket seat shape with pronounced curves, so it’s clearly gaming in style!
A little detail for this chair:
The logo is embroidered on the top of the chair, on the headrest cushion (in the same color as the one you’ve chosen) and the brand name is embroidered on the lumbar cushion!
You can see right away that they pay attention to detail and personalize their accessories.
The fabric of the nitro-concepts s300 is super-soft to the touch and strong, so you can keep it for a long time.
But fabric’s greatest asset…
Unlike imitation leather, it won’t peel off, PLUS in summer it’s great because it’s breathable and absorbent!
No more problems with perspiration or your back sticking to the chair.
I’d just advise you to watch out for stains.
The fabric stains more easily than the imitation, that’s the only drawback.
The chair comes with the following accessories: a cushion that goes behind your neck…
To rest your head and reproduce the normal curve of your neck, and a lumbar cushion to reproduce the curve of your lower back.
Comfort-wise, it’s night and day, especially for the lumbar cushion.
Without it, within a few hours your lower back starts to ache, and with it, you can spend the whole day sitting comfortably.
What’s more, the lumbar cushion is easy to adjust from top to bottom, and doesn’t move at all during the day.
Which is handy, because otherwise it’s a hassle to readjust all the time.
Both cushions are zippered and can be washed if required.
I think we all know how important it is, especially for the beauty of the chair (and a little for durability too), to have strong seams.
Here, they’re close enough together, regular enough and neither too tight nor too loose.
The finishing touches are a little more ordinary…
The covers are made of plastic, as on 99.99% of gaming office chairs.
Nevertheless…
Once again, you’ll find Nitro Concepts’ attention to detail.
As you can see from the top of the backrest…
The little piece of plastic from which the lumbar cushion straps extend and retract (I don’t really know what to call it) not only looks really nice, it’s also got the brand name on it!
As for the logo, it’s on the two little covers on either side of the seat.
The 50mm castors are made of nylon with a polyurethane coating.
They roll superbly on both hard and soft floors.
They have a little more difficulty on linoleum, but that’s the case for practically all castors.
You’ll be able to find yourself in an almost reclining position…
Which is great for watching a film or series, or taking a break while downloading a game.
Some seats go as far as 180°, which is completely reclining, but…
Sometimes it’s not super stable, and it’s more of a gadget than something you’re really going to use.
So it all depends on your use.
If you’re used to taking naps on your armchairs or not…
On the right-hand side of the seat is the lever for tilting the backrest.
Under the seat you have the lever for raising/lowering the chair. If you push or pull it, it will allow you to lock the seat or activate the tilt mode.
On each of the outer sides of your armrests you’ll find a button for adjusting them up and down (1D) and for 2D and 3D…
You can adjust them directly by forcing the armrest into the right angle.
Finally, under the seat you’ll find a knob for adjusting the sensitivity of the rocker.
It arrived very well packed, and as you can see, the manual is easy to understand and quick (only 6 steps).
The tools are supplied with the chair (an Allen key) and the screws.
Frankly, there’s nothing too complicated about it, and it’s quick and easy to assemble.
15 minutes is all it takes to assemble the nitro concepts s300, and I’m telling you that as a DIY enthusiast!
Before you buy, I think you’ll want to know what other users on the web think.
This chair is generally appreciated, because…
It’s made of fabric, and many people realize that fabric is much better than imitation leather.
The chair is said to be very comfortable, and the after-sales service is responsive.
If you have a problem, they’ll take good care of you.
There were no problems with assembly either, which was very easy.
However, to my surprise, people don’t seem to care that it’s great to have 3D armrests.
Nevertheless, the chair’s inclination is much appreciated, as is the comfort of the cushions supplied with it.
The Klim Esports, with adjustable armrests in 4D vs. 3D-4D for the S300.
It also has high-resilience foam – the only real difference is the reclining angle, which goes up to 160° on this chair, and a maximum weight of 150kg.
However, it’s MUCH more expensive…
I’d only recommend it if you can afford it/want a higher recline angle, and high-density foam.
Read my review of the Klim Esports.
The Akracing Nitro! 2D adjustable armrests, high-density foam 50-55kg/m3, backrest up to 180° and maximum weight of 150kg.
I wouldn’t recommend it over the nitro-concepts s300: the armrest adjustment is the most important thing, and it’s better on the s300.
Read the Akracing Nitro review.
The Oraxeat MX800, with 75kg/m3 high-resilience foam and 4D armrests. It accepts up to 150kg and the backrest swivels up to 160°.
It’s slightly better, but has a stratospheric price tag, as the S300 is far from the competition in terms of budget.
Read the Oraxeat MX800 review.
It’s very difficult to find a good chair with lots of adjustments and good foam without being confronted with excessive prices.
The nitro-concepts S300, with its 3-4D adjustable armrests, high-density foam, 135° reclining backrest, well-crafted fabric and solid structure, meets these requirements perfectly!
