The Corsair TC70 REMIX is Corsair’s latest model and the big brother of the TC60 Fabric.
The dimensions of the TC60 Fabric and the TC70 Remix are similar (with 1-2cm differences here and there, notably the backrest is higher, but a little less wide).
The reason it’s called the big brother is…
The TC70 is made of memory foam, which is excellent, and half fabric and half PU leather (I’ll come back to what this means in the review).
The big advantage of the TC70 Remix over all the competition is its design, which is both gaming and, above all, office-oriented.
But the office look isn’t just a look…
The chair also offers a number of ergonomic advantages (memory foam, synchronized tilt mechanism, etc.).
If you want to know more, read the review!
Sommaire
The Corsair TC70 REMIX is for you if…
You want an ergonomic chair that’s a cross between a gaming chair and an office chair.
What you want is not…
A backrest that reclines up to 180° so you can nap on it, but…
A good ergonomic tilting mechanism and memory foam, instead!
Basically, you know you’re not going to use the reclining backrest, so you’d rather have the advantages on other points.
To your credit, you might as well spend your budget on features you’re actually going to use.
Thanks to its synchronous tilting mechanism, it’s suitable for use up to 8h/d.
The recommended height is between 1m60 and 1m85 for a maximum supported weight of 124 kg.
It’s included in my ranking of the best corsair gaming chairs, which can be found here.

As with the TC60 Fabric, the density is 55kg/M3, which is a very good density and the highest among Corsair chairs.
High-density foam means you won’t have the problem of foam that sags (becomes totally flattened) and hurts your bottom when you sit down.
It also provides firmness, and as you know, firmness helps a lot with back pain.
But the big advantage of the TC70 over the TC60 is that the foam is memory foam.
And that’s much better than normal foam, because at least here…
Your body is entirely “molded” by the foam, as if you were in a cloud.
The aim was to create a hybrid between a gaming chair and an office chair…
We didn’t want the side cheeks to be too prominent.
What it changes for you is that you’ll be less held in the chair, but…
This can be good news for those who like the “freedom” it provides.
If you had trouble finding a chair to your dimensions, or if your shoulders always got stuck, you’ll be much better off with the TC70.
It’s very rare to find synchronous rocker mechanisms in the gaming world.
The synchronous toggle mechanism is much better than centered toggle mechanisms (found on many chairs) and…
Off-center rocker mechanisms (less common, but better than centered).
The synchronized mechanism gives you a smoother, more body-friendly rocking action.
To put it simply, the backrest tilts slightly more than the seat, so…
Your feet will still be touching the ground, and your hips will feel less pressure, but also…
Your blood will circulate better, and your legs will hurt less than with the aforementioned tilting types.
As with the TC60, I’m a little disappointed that it’s a class 3 piston.
Class 4 pistons are of better quality, and have greater robustness and spring force.
After all, I guess you can’t have everything.
It’s not a big deal, given that a piston isn’t expensive and can be changed easily, but still.
The nylon base is fine in principle, since the chair’s maximum recommended weight is 120 kg.
So perhaps an aluminum base would have been too much, but a metal base would have been welcome.
Nylon bases are the least sturdy (even if they can withstand several hundred kilos of pressure).
The structure of the chair is made of wood (more precisely, wood and steel). Wood has its advantages, as it’s more ecological, lighter…
But I find it less solid than a structure made entirely of steel.
Unlike the T1 Race, for example, which has 4D armrests, with 3D armrests you’re on the lower end of the range.
Nevertheless, 3D armrests are still very good, as you can adjust them in height, angle and from front to back.
The height lets you position them at elbow level to relieve pressure on your upper body.
Front to back depends on how you use them, but I think it’s fun to modulate them according to your position…
Sometimes when I’m super-concentrated I move them forward, and I move them back when I’m in a “relaxed” position.
The angle adjustment is one of the most important for me. I NEVER use “straight” armrests, I always tilt them inwards…
Because that’s the most ergonomic way to type on my keyboard, for example.
Corsair has always made timeless gaming chairs.
Here, Corsair goes one step further, making a kind of hybrid between office chair and gaming chair.
So it’s perfect for you if you don’t like flashy designs, but prefer something sober and timeless.
The result is very good, and the colors are also very simple, with gray, white and black being the most “everywhere”.
Otherwise, the overall look is virtually a carbon copy of the TC60.
You’ll also find the Corsair logo inscribed on the top of the backrest at the front, and on the rear of the chair.
Like the TC60, the TC70’s fabric covering is very pleasant to the touch and velvety soft.
The advantage of fabric is that it won’t keep you very hot in summer, and is very breathable compared to PU leather.
The disadvantage is that if you stain it, because you tend to eat on your chair, you’ll have to clean it up quickly.
The advantage of PU leather is that it gives a premium look, making it more attractive and luxurious.
Especially since the leather used by Corsair is of good quality and won’t flake off.
The disadvantage is that it’s less breathable than fabric and so can be a bit sticky in summer, especially as there are bits of PU leather on the backrest.
So it’s up to you whether you prefer the look or the breathability.
If you want all-fabric, you’ve got the TC60.
The lumbar support is integrated directly into the chair.
In itself, this keeps the chair looking like an office chair, but…
The fact that it’s integrated may not suit you if your physique isn’t “up to standard”.
In other words, too tall or too short.
In that case, the lumbar support won’t fall in the right place, and instead of helping you, it’ll destroy your back.
But if your lumbar support falls in the right place, you’ll love the chair.
When it comes to seams and finish, Corsair have always applied themselves to their chairs.
The seams are really neat, clean and even, they hold well and on the TC60 and TC70 models are almost invisible.
The result is a very simple, streamlined look that I love.
We’re talking basics here, compared to what you’ll find on the T2 Road Warrior and T1 Race.
I don’t think the wheels are your main selection criterion, but they roll well and don’t make tracks.
They do, however, tend to collect a lot of dust.
And only up to 105°.
In itself, this is sufficient, and extreme tilting up to 180° is not absolutely necessary.
Especially as the target audience is clearly an “office and gamer” audience, so a tilt of up to 105° is more in line with the target audience.
But I still note the lack of this feature.
Under the seat you’ll find a lever on the left to raise/lower the chair.
If you pull or push it, it will unlock/lock the tilting mechanism, in case you don’t like tilting.
On the outside of each armrest, you’ll find a knob enabling you to adjust them.
Beneath the chair, you’ll find a large knob that adjusts the tension of the rocker mechanism…
Which I strongly recommend you adjust according to your weight.
Like all Corsair gaming chairs, you don’t change a winning team!
The explanations are clear and simple, and assembly really does take less than 15-20 minutes.
Especially as the backrest is so easy to fit, it just slots into the tilt mechanism part and… That’s all there is to it!
Assembly tools are included in the package.
There are very few reviews of this chair on the Internet, but I’ve tried to find out what’s being said on English forums, etc., in order to give you an overview.
The TC70 is well loved (or hated) for these reasons:
So, to cut a long story short, you’ve got a good idea of the chair’s quality!
There’s the Corsair TC60 Fabric if you prefer an all-fabric chair, you can go with your eyes closed – the two are virtually identical to within a few centimeters of each other.
However, the TC70 has memory foam, which is more interesting.
Read the Corsair TC60 Fabric review.
Then there’s the Corsair T3 Rush, which has 4D armrests and tilts up to 180°, but is made entirely of PU leather and has a much less ergonomic tilting mechanism.
If you’re looking for a chair with a better tilt, more adjustable armrests and a more “gamer” style, go for it.
Read my review of the T3 Rush.
There’s the Cosair T2 Road Warrior and it’s Corsair’s best, with 4D armrests, roller wheels, similar density foam, reclining backrest up to 170°, off-center mechanism…
But entirely in PU leather.
Read the Corsair T2 review.
The TC70 Remix is for those who want a chair that’s closer to an ergonomic office chair than a gaming chair.
With its synchronized rocking mechanism, high-density memory foam and style that’s more “office” than gaming, the TC70 Remix fulfills this role perfectly.
