Are you the type of person who wants the best and invests in quality?
You’ve realized that a good chair is super important for your comfort and to take care of your back?
Then you’ve come to the right place.
I’ve gathered together all my years of experience and thousands of hours of research to bring you my selection of the best gaming chairs!
I know from experience that it’s a pain to find a good chair – there are far too many, and every year there are new ones… Which makes the task all the more complicated.
So if you want to know everything, follow me in this top 5 and you’ll save hours and hours of research!
Sommaire
The Secretlab Titan Evo is THE ultimate gaming chair.
It is available in several sizes (S/R/XL).
This means it can be adapted to all body shapes.
So, whatever your height or weight, there’s a Secretlab made for you (and it’s the only chair brand to offer this).
For example, size S is suitable if you’re under 1.69 m tall and weigh up to 90 kg.
The regular size if you’re between 1m70 and 1m89 for less than 100kg.
Size XL if you’re between 1m81 and 2m05 and weigh between 80 and 180kg.
But that’s not all…
You’ll also find patent-pending technologies, such as lumbar support INTEGRATED into the backrest and fully adjustable in volume and height.
For those wondering, lumbar support is the cushion you usually have at the bottom of your chair back.
(And here, it’s the only built-in support in the whole gaming chair world that’s capable of being adjusted in height AND volume).
No more big, awkwardly-placed, distracting cushions: it’s built right into your backrest.
What’s more, being able to adjust the lumbar support is essential.
Your back naturally forms an “S”-shaped curve, more or less pronounced depending on your height.
If you don’t reproduce this curve as closely as possible, you’re going to spend the rest of your life with a lot of pain in your lower back (just above the waist).
So you understand the importance of a lumbar support as adjustable as this one?
Then there’s the headrest, which is not only memory foam but also magnetized.
So it’s easy to position and adjust to your preferences, since it magnetizes to the chair.
For once… You don’t have to bother with the elastic band that manufacturers put around the cushions, which prevents them from adjusting properly.
And what’s more, the fact that it’s memory foam is great, because it helps to distribute pressure points more evenly, thus greatly increasing comfort and reducing fatigue.
And even your blood circulation will be improved, so the “heavy neck” effect will be less present or even erased.
The high-density cold foam (which covers the chair) is also patent-pending (it’s a particular “pebble” design.
They’re the only ones to offer such a seat, and it’s designed to help you sit better, without sliding forward in your chair.
And comfort-wise, it’s super-comfortable (rather firm) and won’t sag over time (basically, it won’t end up flattened like Homer Simpson’s sofa).
As for the design, it’s flawless, available in 135 different variations, and there’s even an Attack of the Titans version.
Secretlab has also come out with easy-to-change “skins” (covers) that are superbly adapted to the dimensions of their chairs.
So it doesn’t matter if you buy the Harry Potter version of Secretlab and later want the Batman version. All you have to do is buy the Batman cover (but it’s optional, of course, so you don’t have to).
Personally, though, I like it, because it’s more hygienic (easier to remove and wash) and it protects your chair underneath!
In the end, it’s a bit like putting a shell on the iPhone you’ve just paid a fortune for.
The armrests are, of course, 4D (adjustable in height, width, angles, front/back) to adapt perfectly to your shoulder width, posture and desk height.
To give you some examples, with the height adjustment, the aim is to enable you to obtain a 90° angle with your arms.
This will relieve the tension in your shoulders (and the same goes for armrest width adjustment, otherwise what’s the point of having armrests if they’re 10 km from your arms?)
Then the front-to-back adjustment will help you adapt them to the depth of your desk.
This is very important, given that most gamers tend to have a very deep desk.
Finally, the angle adjustment is also very useful. Take a 2-second break and visualize how your arms look when you’re playing.
Got it?
You’ve probably noticed that the arm you use to operate the keyboard is a bit “twisted”, and that the arm you use to operate the mouse is a bit twisted too.
The aim here is to move each armrest at the same angle as your arms!
Next, the backrest can be tilted up to 165°, so you can easily find the posture that suits you best, and lie back for a movie/series break, or even play a quiet game lying down with the controller.
The materials used are of the highest quality, and the SoftWeave Plus fabric is far more breathable than normal fabric, and superbly pleasant to the touch.
The same goes for the leatherette version, which is reputed to be as tough as animal skin.
Speaking of materials, I think it’s great that they’ve used an aluminum base, because it can withstand pressures of up to a ton.
However, the thing that is all too often overlooked by us gamers is the tilting mechanism.
Here, it’s off-center, and that’s MUCH BETTER than a centered tilt mechanism.
Because since the tilt is not in the center of the seat, but at knee level…
Well, your feet will continue to touch the floor throughout the rocking motion, which will prevent the “heavy legs” effect at the end of the day.
And why?
Because your blood circulation will be improved, since you’ll be touching the floor, giving you support and not blocking your legs.
And as a bonus… It even pulls less on your hips, as this rocking mode is more respectful of the body.
In short, this is the most technologically advanced, top-of-the-line model on the market.
It’s a purchase I’d recommend to any player looking for the best of the best.

Good points:
Negative points:
The Maxnomic Executive Edition is a great choice for medium to tall people, because…
Its various available cylinder sizes (S/M/L for 1m73 to 2m00) will enable you to always touch the ground (which is NECESSARY for comfortable sitting).
However, in terms of morphology, I’d only recommend it if you’re between 1m70 and 1m90 and don’t weigh more than 150 kg.
Because it’s not like Secretlab, here it’s only the size of the actuator that changes, not the complete dimensions of the whole chair as with the Titan.
So it’s cool, but not yet to the level of Secretlab, so pay attention to this detail.
Next, a neck cushion is offered with this chair, it’s big, thick and well padded with foam.
You’ll need to place it in the hollow of your neck to preserve the natural curvature of the nape, so you can go for hours without feeling pain.
But it’s not the cushion that’s its greatest asset – most chairs come with a cushion – it’s the integrated lumbar support.
Thanks to a thumbwheel, you can adjust its thickness to perfectly reproduce the S-shaped curvature of your lower back!
It’s an invaluable asset if you want to spend long hours in front of your PC without back strain.
Unfortunately, it’s not quite up to the Titan Evo’s standard, with its adjustable lumbar support in both height and thickness.
However, the fact that it’s integrated is already better than most chairs: goodbye to the cushions that have to be fixed, that move all the time, that have to be put back on all the time…
As for foam density… Unfortunately, I haven’t found the exact density.
All I know is that it’s high density (and therefore won’t flatten out over the years).
In terms of design, you’ll find it in a host of really well-crafted colors, to easily adapt to your set-up.
The armrests can be adjusted in 4D (up/down, side-to-side, front-to-back and angled) and 4D is the best you can get.
This will enable you to adapt it to your desk or your posture. For example, adjusting the angle is super important: nobody’s arms are all straight when they’re playing or working.
Likewise, no-one’s shoulders are the same width or height. This is where you can adapt them in an almost “made-to-measure” way.
The inclination goes up to 160° and can even go up to 180° with the tilt mechanism.
This corresponds to a reclining position, which is great for watching streams or series.
The suede used is among the best, so you won’t sweat in summer, and it’s also a very rare and hard-to-find material (and top for comfort/softness).
The materials are top-notch, and once again you’ll find an aluminum base with a metal skeleton and off-center rocker!

The Noblechairs Epic is something of a benchmark, the first chair you hear about when you’re interested in gaming chairs.
And when it comes to price, functionality and build quality, we’ve reached a very high level.
Well, the functionalities are clearly not up to Secretlab’s level, otherwise the price wouldn’t be any more affordable.
And what type of gamer is it suitable for?
In terms of morphology, it’s suitable for physiques between 1m60 and 1m90 and weighing no more than 120 kg.
Secondly, this gaming chair comes with two cushions, one for the neck and the other for the lumbar region.
Their purpose is to respect the natural curvature of your neck and back, so that you can sit with good posture and avoid breaking your back.
Simply put, your neck forms a certain natural “angle”, and by placing the cushion in the hollow of your neck, you’ll avoid neck pain.
It’s the same for your spine, which is shaped like an “S”, and by placing the cushion just above the belt, you’ll reproduce this curve and relieve your muscles.
This way, you can sit longer and without pain.
The Noblechairs Epic uses high-quality cold foam with a density of 55%, so in simple terms you get medium-firm comfort (great for the back) and a seat that won’t sag.
The design is well realized and it’s a bucket seat cut like those you’d find in sports cars.
The armrests are adjustable in 4 dimensions (top to bottom, right to left, depth, and angles) to take the strain off your shoulders, support your elbows, and adjust to desk height for perfect ergonomic posture.
The backrest can be tilted up to 135°, which corresponds to a quasi-recumbent position, enough to find the perfect angle for sitting and streaming breaks.
The imitation leather is of excellent quality and will not peel over time, as they only use quality materials.
For example, the foot cross is made of aluminum, which makes a nice change from gaming chairs with plastic crosses. Sturdier and prettier.
You won’t be able to break it anytime soon.
What’s more, the tilting mechanism is obviously off-center.
If what you want is value for money and all the necessary adjustments, this is a very good choice.

If price is your number 1 criterion, just before quality…
The Valk Freya is a gaming chair straight from Spain and new to the French market.
The price is unbeatable and the chair is designed for gamers under 1m90 tall and weighing up to 130kg.
The reason they’re able to offer quality at such a low price is that they’ve cut out all the middlemen and manufacture their chairs themselves.
This means you get a high-quality chair for a very low price. There are better chairs like the Titan Evo, but the real advantage of the Valk is its affordability.
And the program includes 55kg/m3 high-density foam, perfect for those who spend long hours sitting.
But why? What does this gobbledygook mean?
Well, high-density foam is a guarantee of quality, meaning that the foam won’t end up flattened after a few months’ use.
So your chair will retain its initial comfort even after months of intensive gaming sessions.
The chair’s design is then very well realized and very sober, it will easily fit in your gaming setup or in your living room if you play in your living room.
What’s more, I really like the fact that, as on the Titan, they’ve removed the hole that’s usually present in the top of the backrest of gaming chairs.
It looks much better that way.
Color-wise, it’s available in black and gray.
Next, the armrests are adjustable in 4 dimensions.
This means you can adjust them to suit YOUR posture.
For example, the height adjustment allows you to adapt them to the height of your desk (very important) and to form a 90° angle with your arms.
This is designed to relieve tension in your shoulders (like width adjustment, as it prevents you from having to spread your shoulders too far apart).
The angle setting, on the other hand, places the armrests at the same angle as your arms.
When you’re playing, your arms are never straight, but rather angled, if only to type on the keyboard/move your character.
Finally, the front-to-back adjustment lets you adapt them to the depth of your desk, as everyone has a different desk.
The Valk can be tilted up to 180°, including the tilt mechanism.
Excellent for relaxing, watching a stream or a series.
The upholstery is made of high-quality fabric, breathable and durable.
Last but not least, excellent materials have been used:
In addition to the steel frame common to most gaming chairs, they’ve used an aluminum base for the chair leg.
Quite simply, it’s THE strongest base in the gaming chair world.
And why is that?
Well, because it can withstand up to 1 ton of pressure, unlike nylon or metal legs.
Did you think that was all?
Well, no. The cushions supplied with the Valk Freya are even memory cushions.
As a reminder, memory foam cushions are designed to improve blood circulation while better distributing the various pressure points.
Which, simply put, means you’ll have access to much greater comfort and less of a “heavy” neck.
Last but not least, the tilting mechanism is off-center, meaning that it tilts at knee level.
Thanks to this, your feet will remain on the ground throughout the tilt, which will improve blood circulation in your legs, while putting less strain on your hips.
So for those with hip pain, it’s extremely good.

Note that the Klim Esports is a very good and well-known gaming chair, but when you compare it with the others, you’ll notice that it does the same or even a little less, but for more money.
The recommended body size is 1.60 to 2 meters, with a maximum load of 150 kg.
So far, nothing out of the ordinary, in fact it’s rather nice that this chair should be suitable for a wide variety of profiles (even if that means it won’t fit everyone perfectly).
Then, as with the other chairs, you get two cushions, one for the neck and the other for the lumbar.
I recommend you use them, as they add comfort and allow you to play longer.
The neck cushion reproduces the “neutral” curve of your neck, so you don’t kill your neck during your gaming sessions.
The one for the back allows you to reproduce the natural curve of the spine, so you won’t have a rounded back or a sore lower back after 50 minutes’ play.
Secondly, the foam is high-density (although the exact density is not specified, but that’s happened with the Maxnomic too).
Nevertheless, I can tell you: you’ll get medium-firm comfort and no durability problems (no risk of it sagging).
The design is really imposing, which could be a good choice if you’re very tall or heavy.
It’s available in a wide range of colors and will easily adapt to your gamer setup.
The armrests are adjustable in 4 dimensions (i.e. in all directions), which is great for adopting an ergonomic posture and getting desk-sized armrests adapted to your posture.
For example, height-adjustable armrests take the strain off your shoulders and give them the right support.
Not too high, otherwise you’ll be pulling on your shoulders, and not too low, otherwise your shoulders will be taking the full weight of your arms.
Next, front-to-back adjustment lets you adapt the armrests to the depth of your desk.
The “angle” adjustment lets you adjust the armrests to suit your arm posture.
As a general rule, you hold the mouse upright, and the keyboard with your arm inclined. Thanks to 4D armrests, you’ll be able to tilt them to the right side and follow your arms!
And last but not least, the width adjustment allows you to adapt the armrests to your build.
The backrest can be tilted up to 160°, so it’s perfect for napping or watching a movie.
The upholstery is made of imitation leather that won’t peel and is breathable thanks to the inlaid diamonds.
The chair is made of stainless steel, so the materials used are excellent too, making it a good investment.
As you can see, it’s a very good choice, the only problem is that for the price you can have any of the others, which have more settings and qualities.

You’re going to put a lot of money into your future chair, it’s a real investment, so you need to know exactly how to choose it and what to prioritize!
That’s what I’m going to explain to you in the next few paragraphs, so follow me!
Let’s start with the main thing, because I know that, like me, you’ve probably already said to yourself:
“A gaming chair is just a trade name to make more money”.
Well, I can’t say I blame you, because that was one of my preconceptions too.
However, behind this sometimes marketing-sounding name lies real technology, real research and real development.
The quality gaming chairs I present in this comparison are all from brands that take great care over what they produce.
Behind these brands lies research and development, investment, and the consideration of user feedback, all to offer you the best possible gaming experience.
Now that you know a little more, I suggest you take a look at the rest of this little guide, which will tell you everything you need to know to make the right choice!
Your budget will be the basis of everything.
I’m assuming you’ve already got a big budget, since you’re looking to choose the best model on the market and you’ve just read my comparison.
I’m not going to go into too much detail here, but having a big budget will allow you to choose a gaming chair with :
And lots of other features you wouldn’t get with an entry-level gaming chair!
Really pay attention to the dimensions of the chair, and the recommended sizes.
It’s going to make all the difference to your comfort, on very important points like seat depth, backrest size, etc.
For example, with a chair that’s too big, your knees will come up against the seat (and I’m sure you’ve experienced this before).
And this will block your blood circulation.
With a chair that’s too small, you’ll be 10km from the end of the seat, which is also a bad thing.
Because you won’t be supported as well.
As for the backrest, the risk is that if you’re too tall or too short, you won’t have the headrest and backrest at the right height.
And what’s the point of paying a huge sum of money only to end up with a chair that’s not your size?
So, without going into too much detail, choosing the right chair for you is essential.
It’s rare to find leather on a gaming chair… Just like on office or ergonomic chairs, for that matter.
Nappa leather (which is horsehide), used in sports cars, is even rarer.
But as you’re aiming for the top end of the market, you’ll notice that if your budget allows it, you can take the Secretlab in nappa leather or the Noblechairs Epic in nappa leather.
This is the maximum you can get in terms of upholstery quality.
Leather is a natural material, so it’s prettier, more lively and will develop a patina (take on a color of your own) depending on how you use it over the years.
Leather is more comfortable, but because it’s a natural material, it also keeps warm more easily.
Nappa leather is considered top of the range, as it is splendidly soft and has very few imperfections.
Nevertheless, you’ll need to take care of your leather by moisturizing it from time to time.
Polyurethane leather (PU) is found on most gaming chairs.
It’s leather waste that’s reused and coated with a layer of polyurethane.
The description doesn’t sound dreamy, but it will be super comfortable, easy to clean, and can last a long time.
The only drawback is that it’s not breathable, so you may start sweating very quickly.
Leatherette is easier: it’s a textile material, treated to imitate the look of leather. It has the same advantages and disadvantages as PU leather.
If your imitation or PU leather is over-treated (it looks too perfect), beware of appearances, as this means that a lot of chemicals have been put on it to hide the real defects.
Fabrics are highly breathable and perfect in summer or if you tend to perspire.
Nevertheless, it’s a very fragile material and if you get a big stain on it, it could be complicated to remove.
The choice is yours, but Nappa leather is still the best.
When you spend a lot of money on a chair, be sure not to buy one without 4D adjustable armrests.
This is one of the most important features of gamer chairs.
It means that the armrests can be adjusted in height, allowing you to set them at the height of your elbows to form a 90° angle.
It’s very important to have your elbows at 90°, as this will take the strain off your shoulders, ease your movements and reduce tension.
They can also be adjusted in angle, so you can adapt them to your current posture…
For example, when you’re typing on your keyboard or computer, your arms are pointing inwards, so you’ll also be able to direct your armrests inwards.
Another clearer example: when you’re using your mouse, your arm is more or less straight, but when you’re playing the keyboard with your other arm, it’s generally turned a little to the right?
With 4D armrests, you’ll also be able to turn your armrest to the right, so you’ll be well supported whatever your position.
With front-to-back adjustment, you’ll be able to get closer to your desk more easily, or lean forward a little for those intense moments when you need to concentrate.
Then, being able to adjust them in width will enable you to adjust them according to the width of your shoulders (each one being different)!
This means you’ll be less tense and can rest your elbows on them.
You have to be very careful to have a good rocking mechanism.
Some people like to lock their chairs, but this is a very bad idea.
Your back, your body, needs to move and not stay fixed in the same position all the time, otherwise you’ll end up with a very sore back, and back pain is unforgiving…
That’s where the tilt mechanism comes in!
Now, in the gaming world, almost all of them offer a centered tilt mechanism.
This is suitable for many hours of seated gaming, but the Secretlab offers an off-center rocker mechanism, which is suitable for even more hours of seated gaming.
Why is this?
Because on a centered rocker mechanism, the rocker is… In the center, so your whole body tilts, taking your feet off the ground.
With an off-center rocker, your feet stay on the ground all along the rocker, which is great for your legs’ blood circulation.
But that’s not all… Thanks to the off-center rocker mechanism, your hips are less stressed, which means fewer problems!
As for the backrest orientation, the maximum is 180°, but I think that’s a bit too much and not necessarily useful. 160° is more than enough.
That already corresponds to a virtually reclining position, and even too much for watching a series in peace and quiet.
So with 160-165° I’d say that in most cases, you’ll be wide open.
You’ll need to pay close attention to the strength of the seams, and the quality of the finishes – for example, on the Secretlab they’re magnetized, a first.
But generally in this price range, you’ll get very good fabric or imitation and very clean seams with embroidered logos.
When it comes to density, always use cold foam or high-density foam.
At this budget, it’s the minimum necessary.
This will ensure that your foam is of the highest quality, and will retain its comfort over time by always regaining its shape.
A low-density foam will eventually collapse with time and use.
Last, because it’s least important.
Generally speaking, one of the great advantages of gaming chairs is that they come in tons of different colors.
However, you can have a chair that’s almost entirely customized, thanks to Secretlab and its 135 chair variations.
There are even World Of Warcraft, League Of Legends and other models.
It’s a product I’d recommend, and on this point in particular, there’s no better.
You’re no longer dealing with simple color variations, but with real personalization.
What’s more, they also offer a “skins” function, so you can change the look of your chair at will, without having to buy a new one.
You’re probably wondering whether you’d be better off buying a random chair from a supermarket?
I can confirm that you wouldn’t, as they have so few adjustments, often no tilting mechanism, no ergonomic options and sometimes unjustifiably high prices.
What’s more, only a gamer chair will adapt perfectly to a gaming set-up.
That’s a very good question, because it’s true that nobody tells us how to place them, not even in the assembly guides.
The lumbar cushion (generally the largest) is placed at the level of your lower back, more precisely just above the waistline.
The aim is to reproduce the natural curvature of your back, so you can sit without destroying your back.
The head cushion (or headrest, depending on what you call it) is placed in the hollow of your neck.
The aim here is to keep your neck in a neutral position, for the same reason: to avoid neck pain.
It depends on the model of your chair.
If the lumbar support is integrated, you won’t need a specific cushion.
However, if there’s no built-in reinforcement, a cushion for the lower back is mandatory.
Unless you want to destroy your back day after day.
Here’s exactly what they’re for:
The one for the lower back is more than necessary to preserve your back by reproducing the curvature of your lower back.
The neck brace, on the other hand, is more optional.
If you know how to stand up straight, you don’t necessarily need one, and some (which are sometimes too big on lower-end models) tend to have the opposite effect.
In the world of gaming chairs (and even ergonomic chairs), there are several mechanisms that enhance ergonomics.
The permanent contact mechanism is when the backrest (and only the backrest) can be adjusted and tilted according to your movements.
This is good because your back will be in continuous contact with the backrest, so your lumbar vertebrae will be protected.
Nevertheless, it’s FAR from being the best type of mechanism, which is cool if you play 2-3h a day, MAXIMUM.
But clearly, it’s to be avoided whenever possible, and so…
How can you recognize it BEFORE you buy?
Well, it’s quite simple: it’s super rare for a gaming chair to be permanently in contact.
The best way to be sure is to check that the seat has a tilting mechanism (I’ll explain all that in 10 seconds).
Now we’re getting to the heart of the matter. You’ve just seen that a permanent-contact mechanism is far from top-notch, but a good tilting mechanism is extraordinary.
The tilting mechanism (of which there are several, which I’ll detail below) is what makes your chair… Rock back and forth.
So not just the back, but also the seat.
This is great because it gives your whole body continuous support on the seat and back.
It also means your muscles won’t tire as quickly, because the different pressures on your body will be better distributed throughout your gaming sessions.
Then there are other advantages, depending on the type of rocking mechanism you choose.
So follow me, because I’m now going to explain the differences between tilting mechanisms, and you’ll see that this is very important.
First of all, there’s the tilting mechanism found on all entry-level chairs reserved for those on a budget.
This type of mechanism tilts in the center of the seat (hence the name).
This has several implications, for example, when you use it, your feet will inevitably lift off the floor.
If you’re on a budget, it’s cool because it allows you to do all the basic tricks of a rocking mechanism.
In other words, it distributes your body’s weight more evenly (so your muscles feel less strain), and lets you move more throughout the day.
In short, you’ll tire less and put less pressure on the muscles that keep you sitting.
As a result, for example, your lumbar vertebrae will be less fatigued, so in addition to the present support, you’ll have less trouble staying seated for longer.
Because… Muscle fatigue means… A greater propensity to end up slumped over in your chair!
However, xe isn’t as good as the off-center rocker mechanism (more on that later), but it’s still better than the permanent contact mechanism.
In terms of playing time, it’ll do for around 3-4 hours.
And here’s a little tip to help you recognize it in photos:
Here’s a centered toggle, it looks like this (if you don’t get it, I suggest you compare it with the off-center toggle below, and it’ll ring a bell right away).
That’s even better, because with the off-center tilting mechanism, the tilting is done at knee level.
And that’s got some very important ergonomic implications!
First of all, as the tilt is at knee level, your feet will remain fixed to the floor (hooray!).
And what’s the point of having your feet fixed to the floor even during the tilt?
That’s what’s going to stop you feeling “heavy-legged”, because a centred rocker tends to cut off circulation to your legs.
So, inevitably, it has a heavy-legged effect.
The off-center rocker, on the other hand, improves blood circulation in your legs.
So, in terms of ergonomics, offering you a gaming chair with an off-center tilt mechanism is a very good thing, but that’s not all.
The fact that it tilts at knee level also means less strain on your entire lower body.
A centered tilting mechanism tends to pull on your hips (and in the long term can cause problems).
And it also pulls on the rest of your lower body.
The off-center rocker, on the other hand, doesn’t do this, and therefore preserves your lower body.
As for playing time, it easily reaches 6-8h and more.
Now, how do you recognize this BEFORE you buy?
It’s very simple: just buy a gaming chair with a tilting mechanism like this:
See? Basically, there’s a gap between the seat and the “thing” just below it (which is the rocking mechanism).
If you’ve got that, then you’re sure to be on an off-center rocking mechanism.
That’s easier than anything I’ve just told you about.
Your chair is asynchronous when you can adjust the backrest and seat independently.
For example, if you can tilt your backrest back AND you can tilt your seat and lock it at any angle you like…
That’s a chair with an asynchronous mechanism!
(Of course, your chair can be asynchronous and still have an off-center tilt mechanism).
The advantage of the asynchronous mechanism, however, is that it gives you real freedom in the choice of seat angle.
For example, sometimes I tilt my seat back a little, I also tilt the backrest (but not too much) then I add a footrest and play like that (half tilted backwards).
I find it extremely pleasant, and since I tend to move around a lot in my chair, I don’t have to move around too much all the time, since gravity keeps me stuck back.
This mechanism is available on most high-end gaming chairs.
The best fabric gaming chair is without doubt the Secretlab Titan Evo.
It has all the most advanced features currently available in a gaming chair, and is perfectly ergonomic.
What’s more, the fabric is perfectly comfortable and breathable.
I much prefer it to the imitation.

One of the main pieces of advice given by physiotherapists and other chiropractors is to vary your positions (sitting, standing, etc.) and take at least one break every now and then.
I know, it’s not the answer you wanted!
But a reminder doesn’t hurt!
Don’t forget to exercise between your gaming sessions, as many of the top names in French e-sports do.
To answer your question: Yes, they’re perfectly suited to long hours of gaming or working sitting down.
I wouldn’t say the same for lower-end models (for a whole host of reasons that would merit a full article)…
But the top-of-the-range gaming chairs in this comparison are all suitable for long hours of sitting.
And… Especially the 1st one, it surpasses absolutely everything at the moment.

The ultimate gaming chair in 2024 is without doubt the Secretlab Titan Evo.
It has so many options and patent-pending mechanisms that other chairs don’t have, it absolutely demolishes the competition.
The seat is a special pebble seat, the covers for the armrests and screws are magnetized, the headrest is magnetized, the lumbar support is integrated into the backrest…
Their foam is patent-pending too…
Their designs are stunning and can be chosen to suit your tastes, the armrests don’t move a muscle, the seat is super-stable and made of noble materials with the brand’s own coverings.
